A quick note to say two of my translations of Aquiles Nazoa's works have been accepted by Mascara Literary Review. I'm very happy about this. Along with my poetry and short stories - now my translations are being recognised critically.
I hope to share my translations on Mascara Review with you shortly on my Facebook page.
I have been writing consistently for the last months. This month I have a handful of works of published. I'm proud. This is because they have featured in quality publications.
First, I am very happy to announce that two of my short stories "Errol" and "New Shoes for Pablo Neruda" have been accepted by international journal Contrappasso Magazine. This is the first recognition of my writing in the short fiction genre.
Continuing on the theme of short stories - I have announced already on my Facebook page that the fine small press Blank Rune Books are publishing a chapbook of my short fictions. This is of particular joy to me.
On the poetry stage I have had my work "No Moon" accepted by the critical peer reviewed publication fourW twenty-six coming out from the Booranga Writers' Centre at Charles Sturt University. My poem "An Anniversaire of Insomnia" will be appearing in the Donbank Live Poets 25th anniversary anthology as well.
A little bird told me that the critically awarded, high quality and fearless online lit magazine Verity La are publishing three of my poems - "Shellform", "A Ruptured Home" and "Your Bed." Please subscribe to their list. There is some very fine work here, here and here. That's just a sample of this very fine publication.
Work on the publishing front keeps on. Australian Latino Press continues to feature Australian and Latino inspired works. The Facebook page also passed 600 fans. A milestone.
Thank you to all and hope to see you soon at a Sydney AU event.
